Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 10, 2025
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how CoatCheck collects, uses, and protects phone numbers submitted by guests at our venues. We are committed to complying with all relevant data protection laws and carrier requirements, including those enforced by Twilio.
What We Collect
We collect mobile phone numbers directly from users via touchscreen entry at CoatCheck venues. This data is used solely to support our SMS notification service.
How We Use Phone Numbers
Phone numbers are used ONLY for transactional SMS — order confirmation, pickup reminders, and coat check status updates.
NO marketing. NO advertising. NO promotions.
No Sharing with Third Parties
We do NOT share, sell, rent, or disclose phone numbers to any third parties or affiliates for any reason — including marketing, analytics, or remarketing.
User Consent
Consent is clearly obtained on-screen. Guests see the following message when submitting their number:
“By entering your phone number, you agree to receive SMS updates about your coat check. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”
Opt-Out
Guests may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS received from us. This immediately stops all future SMS messages until the guest re-consents.
Data Security
All phone numbers are stored securely on protected servers. Access is strictly limited to authorized staff members and protected with standard security protocols.
Policy Updates
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will reflect the changes on this page and update the effective date above.
