Flexible Tip Options for Every Venue

Tips Configuration in Tagami

Tagami gives venue managers full control over how guests can leave tips during checkout. Each room can have its own custom set of tip options — whether it’s a coat check at a club, a storage desk at an event, or a bag check in a museum.

Per-Room Customization

Inside the admin panel, managers can specify preset tip amounts for each individual room. Simply enter values as a comma-separated list (e.g. 1, 3, 5), and they’ll appear as buttons for guests at the final step of payment.

These values are reflected in the guest-facing interface in real time and are clearly added to the total before payment is confirmed.

Optional Custom Tip Entry

In addition to the predefined tip buttons, guests also have the option to enter a custom tip amount manually. This allows them to be more generous or precise based on their experience.

Tagami automatically validates the input and updates the total in real time before proceeding to payment.

How Tips Are Applied

When a guest selects or enters a tip, the amount is:

If the guest selects "No Tip" or skips this step, no amount is charged.

Tracked and Transparent

Tips are recorded with each order and displayed in staff dashboards, shift statistics, and exported reports.

Built-In Simplicity

Tip selection works out of the box and doesn’t require any configuration — but if you want to personalize the experience, it’s just one field in the room settings panel.

You can update tip values at any time, without needing to restart the shift or redeploy your setup.

Why This Feature Exists

Our flexible approach ensures that each venue can offer the right experience for their guests, while maintaining easy oversight and accurate reporting for the team.
